About Me

Recently 27 and currently based in Brisbane, Australia, having recently moved from Wellington, New Zealand. My whakapapa connects me to Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Tahu–Ngāti Whaoa, and my creative journey is deeply shaped by these roots, blending heritage, curiosity, and experimentation.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a Communications Advisor at MBIE, and have been contracted across photography, videography, and content production. My creative practice spans visual communication, storytelling, and digital design — and I’m always on the lookout for projects that resonate with purpose and make a proactive impact.

Ever since I was young, I’ve been drawn to creating — whether that meant sketching, filming, choreographing, or just inventing. That same drive carries through to today. I don’t like to limit myself to one medium. From theatre to martial arts, music to motion graphics, I love exploring how form and feeling can interact.

What ties all my work together is a desire to express the ‘essence’ of a story — not just what it looks like, but what it feels like. I’m especially passionate about projects that cross disciplines and cultures, and that spark new ways of seeing.

A personal highlight for me was visiting South Korea at the end of 2023 — it reminded me how energising it is to experience new places and perspectives. In the future, I hope to grow a career that allows me to keep creating, keep collaborating, and keep moving — both creatively and across the globe.
